Welcome to Wayne School of Engineering Wiki Space

This technology resource site is designed for teachers and students to find resources that may be helpful in implementing technology into the classroom and assignments.

Wayne School of Engineering is committed to providing our students with a rigorous, relevant curriculum infused with technology.

The new teacher evaluation process possesses the expectations that teachers will include technology as a learning tool within their classroom and artifacts are to be collected as evidence. The North Carolina teacher rubrics contain standards and elements which form the basis of the evaluation. The ones centered on technology are:
  • Teachers integrate and utilize technology in their instruction. Teachers know when and how to use technology to maximize student learning. Teachers help students use technology to learn content, think critically, solve problems, discern reliability, use information, communicate, innovate, and collaborate. The levels on the evaluation rubric include:
    • Developing- Assesses effective types of technology to use for instruction.
    • Proficient- Demonstrates knowledge of how to utilize technology in instruction.
    • Accomplished- Integrates technology with instruction to maximize student learning.
    • Distinguished- Provides evidence of student engagement in higher level thinking skills through the integration of technology.
    • Not Demonstrated
